My daily walks have led to some serious discoveries.

Walking 4 miles daily I have made many a notes about my discoveries.

For starters:

There are far More Marlboro Butts than Camel although Camels are usually filter less Merit a distant #3 . Camel packs are usually empty while Marlboro packs tend to have a few butts remaining.Menthol's were non existent until last week so I deducted I have a new traveler.

13 lighters discarded of which 50 % had lighter fluid remaining.

My theory is that the Marlboro smokes are from someone whom is trying to quit.

I have picked up 11.80 cents which goes to the when I can drink beer fund.

Money seems to go in streaks and denomination are mixed at best. My best day is .78 cents.

I am still awaiting the brown paper bag stuffed with twenties.

Mt. Dew,... Vault, and Orange Crush for Cans.

No coke or Pepsi which surprises me.

Lemonade is the favorite citrus style drink.

Miller Light, Busch and Coors Light for cans.

Bottle of Whiskey,Vodka and Black Berry Brandy.

Aqua-Fina is the water of choice .

Building materials are numerous as well as the nails, screws and the occasional tool to work with.

3, 8 foot 2x4.

2, 10 foot section of 21/2 inch PVC water pipe.

26 AA Batteries scattered.

14 bolts.

1 bottle of shampoo.

As for animals we have seen many dead.

Dead: Fox 1, Cat 2, Deer 3, Pheasant 1, Coyote 1, Mink 1

On the animal scat side;

Pooh: Raccoon, Bear, Coyote, Fox ( Needed to reference a animal book) and always on the shoulder of the road. Raccoons pooh and pee at the same time creating an oil slick that dogs really want to roll in.

Dogs have kicked... up 36 pheasant. The pheasant here have hatched 2 separate broods over the summer retaining most of the chicks. Which leads me to believe the dead fox committed suicide.

Average of 10 cars see me walk everyday and 80% of those are the same people everyday

The corn field has been raided six times by passers by wondering if it is sweet corn.

No base ball players emerged although the farmer emerged one day looking for his dog.

There is a sewage lift station which receives daily inspection by the city and takes about 15 minutes per day.

3 hub caps, 1 bumper, 2 broken lights and a host of other car parts and screws.

Garbage on Tuesdays and Fridays.

Milk truck stops at the farm daily.

Chickens from the farm have been up to a 1/2 mile from the farm.

I may need to find a new route.

New Recipe

The long story short.
The food channel played 24/7 during my lengthy stay in the Hospital.
Try to figure it out
I had no appetite and went 24 days without food.
Upon arriving home I had no desire to watch the Food Network.
Unless of course, Giada was cooking and talking to me,just me.
This recipe was inspired by Giada with a few modifications from the original.
Tired of red sauce?
Ya, right how could you be .
But just in case.
You will need the following.
Balsamic Vinegar and Butter Sauce!!
Noodles, although I recommend Ravioli but thought a good penne would suffice.
and in My case it was spinach Ravioli filled with a pesto paste and cheese.
House Blend Wine 1 Gallon
Walnuts (1/2 cup)
6 tablespoons of butter.
Balsamic vinegar. 2-3 teaspoons
Parmigiana (3 finger pinch)
Asiago (3 finger pinch)
Olive oil 2 tablespoons.
Minced Garlic
Spread walnuts on baking tray on w parchment/wax paper.
Heat in oven at 350 degrees for 5 minutes.
When cooled, place in a food processor and surge or pulsate the blades until chopped.
Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
add 1 table spoon of minced garlic
Add Balsamic Vinegar,walnuts,Asiago and parmigiana
blend thoroughly and reduce heat.
Add Pasta of choice and mix thou roughly.
Serve while warm and add more cheese to your liking.
The house Blend will comp this meal well.
I settled for Grape Juice .
I was in and out of a nap while watching the segment but remembered enough to write most of it down.It turned out quite well. The olive oil/Asiago/garlic were additions.
You will have some Walnut left over and can save for another recipe or sprinkle on top of your dish for added pizazz.
Serve with a meat dish( Chicken) or paired up with a salad.
